Brief Overview of Vote Advisors (Proxy Advisors) in Peru

Abstract

This article makes a short introduction about Peruvian legal situation in case Proxy Advisers starts operations. The research works Peruvian Securities Act, Pension Funds Law, and local corporate governance practices. The main idea is to propose Peruvian market needs a minimum rule to protect interests of institutional meanwhile is necessary the creation of group of corporate governance practices to make work of proxy advisers more transparent and responsible.
