About the Journal
The Journal Faculty of Jurisprudence (RFJ) is a semiannually scientific publication published by the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador - PUCE through its Publications Center (https://edipuce.edu.ec) and the strategic support of the Research Directorate of the University (https://www.puce.edu.ec/investigacion-puce/). Its emphasis is on the legal field (understood "prima facie" in a theoretical sense) and its relationship with other disciplines, knowledge, and sciences. The RFJ aims at national and international professors and researchers interested and committed to generating and sharing openly and ethically scientific knowledge of quality and global impact.
The "special thematic" system may be used for any of its calls. The Journal orients its editorial policies based on harmonization with the general and specific requirements of REDIB, ERIH PLUS, OAJI, LATINDEX, SCIELO, REDALYC, CLASE, BIBLAT WOS, and SCOPUS. Besides, it considers current legal and regulatory guidelines, SENESCYT guidelines, PUCE's General Publication Regulations, and its general policies on publications and scientific research, as governed by the Faculty of Jurisprudence, the Office of Research, and the Center for Publications.
In its second phase, it consists of a tribute to the initial Journal, published 1999 - 2004. The journal is published in Spanish, English, Italian, French, German and Portuguese. It addresses topics from an exegetical, inter and transdisciplinary perspective. It is dedicated to critical analysis of the national and international problems of Law in all of its areas. This includes scientific-legal articles, reviews, current analysis, research, book reviews, research notes, miscellaneous, and original translations.
The journal's proposal is within the framework of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador - PUCE s mission. It seeks to provide a rigorous and critical contribution to the tutelage and development of the Rule of Law, human dignity, and cultural heritage through research, teaching, and the various services offered to local, national, and international communities.
At present, the journal's board of directors is headed by Prof. Ruben Mendez Reategui, PhD-DSc, a Peruvian scholar and a tenured full professor of Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador - PUCE. The Editorial Board is made up of leading legal and social scientists and researchers from various universities in Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Oceania.
The Journal receives articles throughout the year, within the deadlines for each number. The documents received and selected for publication will comply with the double-blind anonymous review system.
All university scholars and researchers are cordially invited to participate and share future contributions with us. It is essential to remark that RFJ allows authors to own the copyright without restrictions.
