As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not already been published and is not currently under consideration by another journal. If this is not the case, provide an explanation in the "Comments to the editor" field.
The submission file is in one of the following file formats: OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the appropriate locations within the text rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which can be found in the "About the Journal" section.
Author Guidelines
GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
• Ethics and Best Practices: The RFJ is governed by the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the guidelines of Open Science, ensuring an ethical, transparent, and impartial editorial process.
• Plagiarism Policy: Specialized software (TURNITIN) is used to detect plagiarism and self-plagiarism. If confirmed, the manuscript will be immediately rejected. In severe cases, or when detection occurs after publication, a retraction will be issued.
• Open Access Policy: The journal is freely accessible. PUCE covers all editing, management, and publishing costs. There are no fees for authors.
• Digital Preservation Policy: Content is preserved through institutional repositories and the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring long-term availability.
• DOI Assignment: All articles approved and published in RFJ will receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring traceability and proper citation in academic databases.
• Copyright and Licenses: Authors retain copyright and grant RFJ the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This allows sharing and adapting content, provided it is properly cited and not used for commercial purposes.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous review by other journals.
• Length: Original articles: minimum 7,000 and maximum 10,000 words (excluding bibliography and footnotes). Translations: relevant translations of legal research are accepted with the original author’s consent.
• Format: Word document (.docx). Font: Gandhi Serif, size 11 (footnotes size 9). Line spacing: 1.5. Standard margins: 2.5 cm. Citation: APA 7th edition, adapted to the legal field when appropriate.
• Title, Abstract, and Keywords: Title in Spanish and English. Abstract in Spanish and English (maximum 200 words each). Keywords in both languages (5–6).
• Author Information: Along with the manuscript, authors must include:

Country of origin
Short academic biography (max. 100 words)
